Belonging, Behavior and Belief: A church of the 21st Century

Diana Butler Bass in Vermont

Are you looking for deeper understanding of how the church of the 21st Century will evolve? Noted author and scholar, Diana Butler Bass, will be in Vermont April 12-13, 2013 to address what she calls the “3B’s of faith: Belonging, Behavior, and Belief”. Her appearance is sponsored by the Church Growth and Vitality Committee of the Vermont Conference of the United Church of Christ.

 

 

Bass will be at the Norwich Congregational Church on Friday April 12 to meet with UCC and Episcopal clergy. On Saturday, she will be at Lake Morey Inn, and that event will be open to the public. Registration will open later in the fall. More information here.

Diana Butler Bass holds a Ph.D. in religious studies from Duke University and is the author of eight books including, Christianity after Religion: the End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening, published in February 2012. Her other books include A People’s History of Christianity: the Other Side of the Story (Harper One, 2009), nominated for a Library of Virginia literary award, and the best-selling Christianity for the Rest of Us (2006) which was named as one of the best religion books of the year by Publishers Weekly and was featured in a cover story in USA TODAY.
