Music That Makes Community is a three-day event with workshops in song leadership and crafting participatory liturgy at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Brattleboro, VT. From August 20-23, 2013, an diverse group of skilled musicians and liturgists will come together to teach a practice of leading music paperlessly through modeling and gesture. Learning together by ear and by heart frees us to sing without fear and supports full engagement of the heart, mind and body in liturgy.
Come recharge and invigorate your work and your spirit with three dynamic days of singing, worship and spirited learning with some of the best musicians (and people) you’ll ever meet. We’ll offer a track in Song Leadership and Instrumentation (perfect for first-time participants) as well as tracks in Composition and Planning Creative Worship for those who’ve already participated in Music That Makes Community events.
Find out more and register on the Music That Makes Community Brattleboro event page and email Rachel Pollak Kroh, MMC Program Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Rooms have been reserved at a group rate at the historic and charming Latchis Hotel.
