Retreat at Rock Point:
“Advent, a Time of Expectant Waiting”
What are we waiting for? What do we expect? What is the deepest desire of our hearts? This quiet retreat weekend offers us a time of discovery.
All members of the Episcopal Church in Vermont are welcome to participate in this weekend of spiritual refreshment. The retreat will be held Friday, December 6th at 6pm through Sunday, December 8th at 12 Noon at the Bishop Booth Conference Center on Rock Point in Burlington.
Our Retreat Leader will be Ms. Julie Cook from Hague, NY and member of the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Julie is a former faculty member of Moravian Theological Seminary and practiced as a pastoral counselor and marriage and family therapist for nearly two decades. Now retired, Julie offers spiritual direction and retreats. She is a member of the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross, a community of Episcopal women called to live a life of prayer. The Rev. Craig Smith of Trinity Church in Shelburne will be the Retreat Chaplain.
