1/13/2015

elsalvadorAt our 2014 Diocesan Convention, it was resolved that The Episcopal Church in Vermont send greetings and love to the Rt. Rev. Martín Barahona of the Episcopal Anglican Church of El Salvador and wish him all the best in his retirement that starts next year. Bishop Barahona has received the courtesy resolution. Below is his response:

The Rt. Rev. Tom Ely
Bishop Diocesan
Diocese of Vermont

I have received via the Rev. Canon Lee Crawford the courtesy resolution that was approved by the 182nd Convention of the Diocese of Vermont in respect to wishing me the best in my upcoming retirement.

I express my most sincere thanks to you for this courtesy resolution, but I also thank your bishop, Tom Ely, and many people of the Diocesee of Vermont, who have greatly supported our mission in the Episcopal Anglican Church of El Salvador during my 22 years of episcopacy. Believe me that, thanks to you, your bishop and other members of the church, we have been able to advance in that which Jesus Christ entrusted to us.

I will be eternally thankful.
A brotherly hug.
The Rt. Rev. Martín Barahona, D.D.
