Are you experiencing it yet? The ‘Oh no, summer is almost here and I haven’t registered for Rock Point Summer Camp yet!’ panic?
Maybe your family is still making plans for the summer…or maybe the registration form is at the bottom of one of those piles…whatever the case may be, NOW is the time to send that registration form in!
Camp makes a difference in the life of a child! Camp provides an opportunity for a child to gain skills: communication, collaboration, confidence, creativity, and leadership. Camp helps a child to develop grit, tenacity, optimism, and self-control. Not to mention have a whole lot of fun, meet friends, learn new skills, and support them on their spiritual journey.
Staff arrive June 17th for training and planning. Oh what a staff we have this year! Hayden, Kayla, and Alyssa are all former campers; one is a high school graduate and two are currently in college. Lauren has just graduated from St. Michael’s and comes with camp and environmental education experience. Jordan is from the UK and has worked with children and youth professionally since university two years ago. He is also a certified Lifeguard. Hannah is a college student at St. Michael’s and also in the environmental program. Charlotte is our camp health and wellness coordinator (a.k.a. camp nurse). She is a Wilderness First Responder, has experience in summer camps, and currently works at the Howard Center. Bill is the assistant director: a retired school teacher, past outdoor educator, and camp director.
We need to know very soon who will be coming to camp. There are new camp t-shirts to order, cabin placements and programs to organize. Help us to plan for your camper to join in the summer fun. Don’t miss out.
