Fall Clergy Day September 29

I trust you have found some time to rest and relax this summer and enjoy the beauty of Vermont.

I’m writing with details about our upcoming clergy day on September 29th from 9:30 to 2:30 at Saint John’s, Randolph. I ask you to make this collegial time together a priority in your calendar. Please RSVP to Susan Kremer, so we can get an accurate count for lunch

The morning session has been designed by a team of colleagues involved in our Economic Justice Working Group: Is Economics a Moral Issue?:  Pastoral engagement with poverty and economic struggle

“We invite the clergy of our diocese to engage our scriptural tradition, present reality and personal stories in exploring the relationship between vocation and economic life.” 

Outline of the morning:


Arrivals, Coffee, conversation


Gathering and Introduction


Activities:  Seeing the numbers in bread and body

Bible reading and reflection

Sharing our pastoral experiences NOTE: The planning team asks that those attending bring a story to share, a story that has touched you personally, about pastoral care for people in poverty or economic struggle.

Recollection of our Baptismal and Ordination Vows

Closing words

After Lunch we will have a time of conversation with Diocesan Chancellor, Tom Little:
