Grants from UTO with deadline of 1/29/16 for Submission

1/19/2016

UTODear Friends,

The United Thank Offering is a granting organization to support missions and ministries in the Episcopal Church.  January is the time to make grant requests!  The United Thank Offering Board is calling for grant proposals from Young Adults (ages 21-30) and Seminarians of any age who are enrolled in an accredited Episcopal Seminary.  Funds have been set aside to fund 10 Young Adult Grants and 10 Seminarian Grants.

This is an exciting opportunity to submit a grant application—all are awarded for $2500—to try out a new ministry.  Grants can address any one of the Five Marks of Mission—that’s explained in the information on the website below.  Focus, criteria, forms, and Bishop (or Dean) endorsement forms can be found at this site:  http://www.episcopalchurch.org/page/united-thank-offering.  Scroll to the bottom of the page for all information.

Grant applications must be submitted through the Diocese for Young Adult’s, or through the Dean’s office for Seminarians.

Deadlines for grants submissions are January 29, 5 p.m. Eastern Time.  Early applications are accepted.  Each diocese may submit one Young Adult Grant, and each seminary may submit two grants.

Check out the grants awarded in 2015—UTO’s first year of Young Adult grants at http://www.episcopalchurch.org/files/2015_young_adult_grants_list_uto.pdf.

If you have questions or need help, contact The Rev. Heather Melton at hmelton@episcopalchurch.org, UTO Missioner.

In faith,

Wendy Grace,

UTO Coordinator for the Episcopal Church in Vermont
