On April 5, Episcopal Church in Vermont Clergy met for a Clergy Day. The theme of the meeting was food insecurity. Monica Taylor and Marissa Parisi of Hunger Free Vermont joined clergy members to discuss their work. What follows is an invitation from Hunger Free Vermont to the Episcopal Church in Vermont:
Dear Episcopal Church in Vermont Congregations,
I truly appreciate having been a part of 2016 Clergy Day last week. With the support of the faith-based community, Hunger Free Vermont is making significant strides to combat food insecurity and malnutrition for all Vermonters. I welcome you to add your voice at any time – please contact me with questions or insights you care to share about improving the health of our community through wholesome food access with dignity. Hunger Free Vermont invites you to attend a hunger council meeting in your area. We have 10 meetings throughout the state that happen (at least) quarterly. Additionally, I invite you to review some of our 2015 successes. We also want to invite you to our next quarterly conference call, taking place on June 14 at noon. If you email me, I will include you on our list to receive this invitation for the call. Thank you in advance.
