SIXTH ANNNUAL PRIDE INTERFAITH SERVICE TO BE HELD AT
THE COLLEGE STREET CONGREGATIONAL CHRUCH
BURLINGTON, VERMONT
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, AT 6:30 PM
The Vermont Pride Interfaith service is now in its sixth year, a meaningful event for many people each year during Pride Week. This year we continue our tradition of holding the service on the Thursday evening before Pride Weekend. Each year the service is held at a different house of worship. Previous services were held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, Ohavi Zedek Synagogue, the First Congregational Church of Essex Junction, and also in Battery Park after the Pride Parade. This year’s service will be held Thursday, September 8, at 6:30 PM at The College Street Congregational Church, 265 College Street, Burlington, Vermont. Faith leaders from various religious traditions will lead the service, which includes readings, music and reflections from different faith traditions. It is also a time to remember and honor those who have come before. While the focus of this service is on LGBT people and their experience, allies are most warmly invited and urged to attend. For more information, please contact the host church pastor, The Rev. Ken White at: kwhite@collegestreetchurch.org – or the liaison to Pride, The Rev. Stannard Baker by email at: sbaker@stpaulscathedralvt.org
