Cathedral Chapter Proclaims Alleluia!
During the Easter season ministries that have received grants from the Alleluiafund share their stories of how God has worked in and through them to serve God’s people. Amazing things are possible when generous hearts set their minds on seeing Jesus and helping others to do the same. Consider this story from one of our 2016 grant recipients:
I see Jesus. You can, too.
“I saw Jesus.
“Well, to be more accurate, I heard Jesus on Sunday, February 26, 2017. I heard Jesus in nearly 200 voices singing “Fairest Lord Jesus.” You see, St. Paul’s Cathedral has been known for years for its music ministry, and a focal point of the ministry is our organ. After 44 years, the organ was need of restoration. This is important because our organ is more than just an instrument. It’s symbolic of a practice. A practice of breathing together. A practice of meditating on the same words at the same time. A spiritual practice that we call music.
“That Sunday in February was just one example of the many times I’ve heard Jesus at the Cathedral. For example, I hear Jesus in an average of eight liturgies that we conduct each week. I hear Jesus in every Cathedral Arts concert held here. I hear Jesus in our various choir programs, bringing worship and education to generations of people seeking to know God.
“I could go on, but you get the idea. I see Jesus at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul risen again in our music.”

About the 2017 Alleluiafund Appeal
This year’s appeal will support Rock Point Summer Camp and the Rock Point Property, along with other ministries, through grants awarded by the new Grants and Loans Committee. So, please consider a generous gift to Alleluia fund in service of Christ’s mission in the world and God’s great love for us, and see how Christ is indeed risen in our deeds.
