Camp is for Grown Ups Too!
By the Rev. Sherry Osborn | Rock Point Camp Director
Maybe you went to camp as a kid. Maybe you wish you could have gone to camp. Maybe you actually came to Rock Point Summer Conferences years ago! Well, come for the first time or come home after many years. Rock Point Adult Camp is in its second season ready to welcome you to a four days and nights of relaxation, flexible schedules and fun. Live in cabins or reserve space in the conference center for a small additional charge. Still wondering what Adult Camp is all about? First year camper, Candace Vandouris offers her own story:
“What would we do at Rock Point Adult Camp? I had no idea, but the thought of spending a few days right on Lake Champlain was enticing. And I didn’t even have to drive to an airport to get there! As it turned out, adult camp is quite a bit like the Girl Scout camps I attended many years ago. We went on hikes, made craft projects, sang silly songs, went swimming, and told stories around a campfire. The early morning canoe trips were my favorite! I hadn’t been on the lake itself before – and with a trusty camp counselor behind me in the canoe doing the paddling – it was a wonderful way to start the day. Rock Point Camp is beautiful, quiet, friendly, playful, and close by. No air travel is required to enjoy it” …unless you live far away and want to make the pilgrimage to a great vacation on the shores of Lake Champlain!
Adult Camp is for folks 21 or older, August 6-10, 2017. Scholarships are available. For more details and online registration form: http://www.rockpointvt.org/summer_camp
