Partners’ Pantry Seeks Preserving Bees Volunteers to Collect, Freeze, Can, Deliver Emergency Food

The Partners’ Pantry at Rock Point provides volunteer opportunities to preserve (freeze and can) fresh produce for the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf to distribute during winter. Although cold weather may seem months away, volunteers are needed now. The Partner’s Pantry is seeking 6-10 people per week for eight weeks to assist with Preserving Bees during the dates and times listed later in this announcements. Also, one person per week is needed to serve as Team Leader for one or two Preserving Bees teams. Guidance and checklist are provided. Finally, two people per week for eight weeks are needed to collect and deliver produce for one Preserving Bee from supplier of volunteer’s choice (i.e., local farmers’ market, farm, or community garden). Ideas and flyer are provided.

Please see the Preserving Bees volunteer schedule below, and contact Jackie Arbuckle to sign up (JackieinVT@gmail.com or 482-5367).
