United Thank Offering celebrates founder Julia Chester Emery’s birthday in September
By Wendy Grace | Diocesan UTO Coordinator
Who doesn’t love a birthday celebration? Especially if you can give a gift that is truly special! This year marks the 165th birthday of Julia Chester Emery, the founder of the United Thank Offering (UTO). She was born on September 24th, and this year that date falls on a Sunday. What better way to celebrate her birthday than with a special collection that will be a gift for some very deserving grant recipients? Please take advantage of the materials provided by the UTO to promote this special collection. You can download all kinds of helpful materials at this link: https://www.episcopalchurch.org/julia-chester-emery-campaign
And remember, every penny collected says “thank you” and every penny collected goes directly into the grants that UTO provides!

The second contest is to recognize the parish and diocese that contribute the most to the UTO Ingathering during the month of September. The official rules for each contest can be found here.
