Report on the Rock Point Partnership Campaign
I am pleased to report that the Partnership Campaign for Rock Point has raised over $1.44 million in gifts, pledges, and transfers for campaign purposes toward the $1.7 million project goal. The objectives of leadership, stewardship, trails improvements, facilities improvements and of owning the solar orchard are all being addressed as a result of this generosity from so many individuals, foundations, and parishes.
So far, 16 Episcopal Churches in Vermont have pledged almost $79,000, which is part of the total above. They are conducting imaginative campaigns at the congregational level, inviting everyone to join in.
At the same time, the Partnership Campaign for Rock Point is inviting individuals from the Burlington area to experience Rock Point, understand what a treasure it is for the region, and participate in the Campaign.
This fall, the trails work will begin with Timber and Stone, LLC, on the most popular – and eroded – parts of the paths to and around Eagle Bay. This will be a visible improvement, encouraging us to continue making the trails more sustainable as funds are raised.
The vision of Rock Point as a welcoming sanctuary is compelling and the goal is in sight, thanks to many of you.
