Trinity Rutland’s Retired Senior Volunteers Host ‘Operation Dolls’
By Fr. Liam Muller
Every year Trinity Church Rutland hosts “Operation Dolls,” the major project of Rutland Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). Every year the event is held in Nourse Hall at Trinity. From February until the end of November or beginning of December (this year it was held November 30th) the volunteers of RSVP refurbish dolls and toys working on clothes, hair and painting for untold hours in the basement of Trinity. All of the refurbished items go to 55 non-profit organizations, which in turn give the dolls and toys to well-over 100 area families through charitable organizations. Trinity is proud of this partnership and happy to do its part. Pictured are a few of the volunteers on the Tuesday before the event.
