2018 UTO Grant Applications Now Available: Submissions Due by January 31, 2018

The 2018 United Thank Offering (UTO) grant application materials are now available! The focus of the 2018 UTO grants will be Becoming Beloved Community: Racial Healing, Reconciliation and Justice. Each diocese is permitted to submit one application for the 2018 UTO grant cycle. For this reason, applications made through the Episcopal Church in Vermont must be submitted to Diocesan UTO Coordinator Wendy Grace by January 31, 2018, so that one application can be chosen – if there are multiple submissions – and presented to the UTO by their deadline of March 2, 2018.

The UTO will also post a sample budget along with the application on its blog, http://www.unitedthankoffering.org, to help answer questions about how to prepare the application budget. Additionally, the UTO will provide a graph that shows the average amount funded by UTO. Please keep those amounts in mind when preparing your budget.
To answer any questions individuals may have about the application process, the UTO will be hosting webinars on January 16 & 17 and February 6 & 7 at 7:00 PM EST. The UTO Board and Executive Council will approve grants. Grants will be announced during General Convention and funds will be distributed by the end of July.

Each year the United Thank Offering Board awards every penny that was placed in a Blue Box and then given at an Ingathering, as well as all accrued interest. Although the UTO continues to receive many more grant requests than they are able to fund, please know that your grant request is carefully considered and the UTO appreciates the care you take to prepare your application.
