Alleluiafund Grant Opportunities – Apply Today!
By Marjorie Strong & Lisa Newton | Diocesan Council
Having been blessed with an abundance of generosity, the Alleluiafund has exceeded its $40,000 goal for 2017, total donations at year-end are $45,653. The purpose of the fund is to expand the ministries of the Episcopal Church in Vermont, and in response, the Diocesan Grants and Loans Committee (GLC) is seeking applications for projects relating to three ministries: Domestic Outreach and Social Justice, Global Reconciliation, and All Ages Formation.
Follow this link, http://diovermont.org/alleluia-fund.php, to hear stories from 2016 grant recipients about how God has worked in and through them to serve God’s people, “I see Jesus. You can, too.”
Alleluiafund 2017 grants to date include matching funds to several congregations to support their Domestic Outreach/Social Justice and Global Reconciliation ministries as well as funds to support the Earth Stewards ministry.
Applying is simple! Just click here, http://www.diovermont.org/grants-and-loans-committee/, to find information on the application process and the grant application form. There is only one grant application form for all diocesan grants, however it is important that if you are responding to this opportunity you indicate “2017 Alleluiafund” above the logo on the first page of the application.
While matching funds are not required, the GLC does expect some contribution from the applicant, whether monetary or in-kind. They are also not looking for pass through applications without support by the church and the church community. Feel free to contact Canon Lynn Bates for assistance (lbates@dioceseofvermont.org). The grant deadline is March 15, 2018.
