Generation of Social Change & Vermont Legal Aid to Host ‘Know Your Rights’ Workshop on Mar. 2

Join us Friday, March 2 from 4 to 6 PM at 20 Allen St, Burlington, VT for a Know Your Rights Workshop hosted by Generation of Social Change and Vermont Legal Aid. This event is about education and empowerment. Speakers from the Human Rights Commission, ACLU Vermont, the Burlington Police Department, Vermont Legal Aid, Rice Memorial High, and Infinite Culcleasure will discuss issues facing youth of color in Vermont. This is the place to voice your questions about law enforcement, housing, education, cyberbullying, and your civil liberties. After the panel, join us for dinner and art exhibits featuring original work by local students. Want your art on display? Submit your painting, poems, drawing, or other art inspired by civil rights and freedom in Vermont to Sonia (soniajohn2113@gmail.com) or Dina (dinakjohn18@gmail.com). All materials welcome! Email Kit (krees@vtlegalaid.org) with any questions.
