Celtic Worship Service & Music at St. Mark’s Newport, August 15
NEWPORT, VERMONT – On Wednesday, August 15 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, join in a quiet evening of Celtic worship, meditation and instrumental and vocal music inspired by Celtic folk songs at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 44 Second St., Newport, VT. Our Celtic worship is non-doctrinal, candlelit and reflective with the hope of a rediscovery of our spirituality in language that is appropriate for our times. The theme is “Christ the Stranger”. As G.K. Chesterton said “There is a road from the eye to the heart that does not go through the intellect.” The service is Wednesday, August 15th and begins at 7 PM at Saint Mark’s Church, 44 2nd Street, Newport. Worship Leader is Rev. Martha Peck. Celebrant is Rev. Bob Wilson. Musicians are Sophia Cannizzaro (violin) and David Barlow (piano).
