Transition Committee Seeks Ideas About Consecration Venue

Transition Committee Seeks Ideas About Consecration Venue

By Todd McKee

The transition committee will begin meeting in September to plan the events that will ultimately lead to the consecration of the next Bishop of Vermont, tentatively scheduled for September 28, 2019. One of the first tasks will be to research and secure a venue for the consecration well in advance. The committee welcomes ideas from the members of the Episcopal Church in Vermont. Is there a facility in your community that can seat 800-1,000 people and has an adjacent space for a reception? Please make sure the committee knows about it and adds it to our list of potential sites to research. We’re especially interested in hearing from anyone who has a personal or professional connection with such a venue. Please contact us at with any ideas.
