St. James Essex Junction Hosts Potluck, Rapid Response Training for Migrant Justice, November 17

ESSEX JUNCTION, VT – The Refugee Response Group at St. James Episcopal Church, Essex Junction, invites the people of the Episcopal Church in Vermont to a potluck and fundraiser to benefit Migrant Justice, an organization that works to improve living and working conditions and help solve legal problems for migrant farm workers in Vermont and the farmers who employ them.

The event will be held on Saturday, November 17, at St. James Episcopal Church, 4 St. James Place, Essex Junction, at 5:30 PM. The program will include a presentation by a migrant farm worker and staff member of Migrant Justice describing the organization’s work and accomplishments. This will be followed by an optional session to train Migrant Justice allies for rapid response when farm workers are arrested.

Please join us and bring a dish to share. Donations may be by cash or check made out to Migrant Justice, a 501(c)3 organization. For questions about this event, please call (802) 238-6765. We hope to see you on November 17.
