Anima sings of the season of Advent, when we wait for the light and honor Mary, the mother, with songs hundreds of years old. They sing soaring chants of Hildegard von Bingen, beautiful rounds from the Llibre Vermell (14th c.) rich polyphony from Leonel Power (15th c.), and other anonymous renaissance works, accompanied by harp and other instruments.
December 13 – Wilhelm and Friends
The pipe organ at Christ Church is joined by organist Lynnette Combs; violist Elizabeth Reid; Andrea Brightenbach, oboe and English horn; Ron Thompson, trumpet; and Linda
Radtke, alto
December 20 – Judi Byron, harp
In this often hectic holiday season, take time out from your busy schedule to relax and restore, listening to the beautiful, resonant, and peaceful sounds of harp music. Judi will play a selection of harp compositions and carols from around the world, to both soothe and bring rest, delight and joy!”
