Rock Point Fall Projects, “Coming Soon” Made Possible by Partnership Campaign

Updates to the Bishop’s House and Bishop Booth Conference Center are progressing. We received a Certificate of Occupancy for our Property Manager’s new house. Trails to North Beach (aka Fred’s Beach) are nearly finished. And we are checking the long list of donors whose generosity in the Partnership Campaign for Rock Point has made all this work possible! Coalition Campaign Protects Land

The Rock Point & Arms Forest Coalition is a remarkable public, private, and non-profit partnership comprising the Parks Foundation of Burlington, the Lake Champlain Land Trust, The Episcopal Church in Vermont, and the City of Burlington. Roughly $468,000 that have flowed into the Coalition Campaign will support Rock Point through conservation, guided public access, and trails improvements. Read More

Think About Volunteering

In 2018, the first year of our Volunteer Program, we established three groups: Trail Stewards, Pollinator Docents, and Conference Center Hosts. And they were busy! From April through November, our 18 volunteers donated more than 500 hours! Read More

What’s RIPICK?

Founded in 2014, Rock Point Intentional Community, or RPIC (pronounced ‘ripick’), is a spiritual community that funnels ideas and gets things going, such as Wisdom School, retreats, monthly Eucharist, and more. RPIC expands traditional monastic wisdom into forms that can be lived out in contemporary lives. Read More

Growing in Wisdom

RPIC recently conducted its second Introductory Wisdom School. Two dozen participants enthusiastically received the program, some of whom are pictured in the featured image above. There is a strong and growing interest in Wisdom teachings nationwide, and we’re excited to support it! Read More

Property Pass Donations

Although Rock Point has no admission fee, we invite visitor contributions to help us care for the property. In 2018, our Property Pass income grew from $3,800 to $4,680 (through November). However, fewer than 20% of Property Pass recipients actually made a contribution. Read More
