St. Paul’s Parishioner to Receive Activism Award
Burlington Congratulates Chol Dhoor
BURLINGTON, VT – Chol Dhoor, a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul and president of the Sudanese Foundation of Vermont, will be receiving this year’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Award for community activism presented by the Greater Burlington Multicultural Resource Center. The presentation will take place as part of an MLK commemorative event at the First Unitarian Universalist Society, 152 Pearl St, Burlington, at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 20. The speaker will be Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, author of the New York Times bestseller Tears We Cannot Stop. Tickets are free, but required, and can be obtained from the Peace and Justice Center, Fletcher Free Library and the City Market.
