SSJE Offers Praying Our Common Life: Prayer Book Spirituality and Practice, March 23
CAMBRIDGE, MA – The Book of Common Prayer (BCP) is one of the major gifts of the Anglican tradition to the Body of Christ all around the world. It is a valuable resource for common worship, but also for personal prayer. “Praying Our Common Life: Prayer Book Spirituality and Practice” is a workshop hosted by the Society of St. John the Evangelist (SSJE) that introduces participants to the BCP, an exploration of its spirituality, and practical guidance for its use, both corporately and individually. If the BCP has ever seemed to you to be daunting or complicated, this workshop is for you. Join us in exploring how this rich spiritual storehouse might enhance and deepen your own life of prayer, worship and service.
“Praying Our Common Life” will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 and will be held at the Monastery Undercroft, 980 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA. Register online at https://SSJE.org/workshop
To get to the Undercroft, enter the Guesthouse garden through the gate to the left of the Chapel; signs will indicate the door down to the undercroft. All participants are invited to stay and join the Brothers of SSJE for Noonday Prayer at 12:30 p.m.
