Borderlands Issues, Humanitarian Efforts Presentation at St. James Essex Junction, May 5

ESSEX JUNCTION, VERMONT – On Sunday, May 5 at 11:45 a.m., Jan Steinbauer, a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Jericho, will be visiting St. James Episcopal Church in Essex Junction to share photos and stories from her experiences on the Arizona/Mexico border in August 2018. Among her many experiences, Jan’s assisted at a center for migrants in Nogales, Mexico, helped with a humanitarian search in the Sonoran desert, and attended a federal court session for apprehended migrants in Tucson. Her upcoming presentation will include updates from recent months about changes to the border wall in Nogales and information on how non-profit groups are responding to the overflow of people seeking asylum.
