Where in the World Is Jack Karn?

Jack Karn (pictured), a postulant in the Diocese of Vermont, has been busy in Houston, Texas – as regional director of Jerusalem Peacebuilders and as a volunteer for the Jubilee Prison Ministry. The Houston Chronicle reported that Jack played in leading role in an interfaith partnership with ILM Academy, bringing together Muslim, Jewish, and Christian students to explore and celebrate shared values in their respective traditions of Ramadan, mitzvahs, and outreach ministry. Additionally, Jack has been involved in the Houston-area Jubilee Prison Ministry. As Jack explained in a recent blog, “[T]he Jubilee Prison Ministry is a regional prison ministry program offered at nearby Texas prisons for men and women twice yearly…offering meals, Bible Study, talks and meditations on God, Jesus Christ, and forgiveness, group prayer, worship, and a whole lot of singing.” Jack will be back in Vermont next month, briefly, to help run the JPB Leadership Institute in Brattleboro.
