‘Difficult Conversations About Race’ Makes It Easier to Decode Traffic Stop Data, December 18

The following announcement is provided by our friends at the Forum on Racial Equality (FORE):

Difficult Conversations About Race
Wednesday, December 18 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm
Mayor Rm, Howe Library, Hanover, NH

HANOVER, NH – Since 2014, Vermont Law Enforcement Agencies are required to gather data on the race, gender and age of drivers involved in traffic stops. The information was publicly available, but difficult to access, let alone analyze. Pat Autilio will give a presentation about the site he helped to create for Justice for All Vermont (https://justiceforallvt.org/) and the Vermont Racial Justice Alliance (https://vtracialjusticealliance.wordpress.com/) that allows the public to review data from any town in Vermont, compare year-to-year trends, and compare agencies across the state or within counties. Ellen Bettmann will facilitate.
