Diocesan Convention is the decision-making body comprised of clergy and lay delegates from throughout the Episcopal Church in Vermont. Convention meets annually, and also use this time to learn from our speakers and one another, and think about our present and future as The Episcopal Church in Vermont. Delegates to Diocesan Convention are elected at your parish annual meeting, so if you are interested in being a delegate, make sure you attend that meeting!
The 183rd Annual Convention of the Diocese of Vermont was held at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Burlington, VT on Friday, November 6 and Saturday November 7, 2015. The theme was “Jazzed About God’s Mission,” and our special guest was the Rev. Gay Clark Jennings, president of the House of Deputies of The Episcopal Church.
Our Convention offering of $3,600 will support two local ministries and two global ministries with strong ties to the Episcopal Church in Vermont.
