In-Person Programming November 4
The in-person portion of diocesan convention will take place Saturday, November 4 at The Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Burlington from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Breakfast and fellowship will begin at 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided.
Bishop Shannon will preside and preach at the Eucharist.
The Rev. Lorenzo Lebrija, founding director of TryTank, will return to convention this year to continue the discussion that began at his plenary session in 2022. Attendees will have the opportunity to develop and share new ideas for ministry to take home to their congregations.

Hotel Reservations
Hotel accommodations are available at the Courtyard Burlington Harbor. The group rate is $229/night and reservations must be made by October 3 to guarantee the rate. Make a reservation.
Online Business Session November 9
The business portion of diocesan convention will be held online on Thursday, November 9 beginning at 6 p.m. Clergy and delegates will participate via Zoom; a link will be sent prior to convention to all registered clergy and lay delegates.
Those not serving as delegates are invited to watch via YouTube, and a recording will be available for on-demand viewing.
Online Pre-Convention Hearing on November 2
There will be an online Pre-Convention Hearing on Thursday, November 2 at 6 p.m. This online event is required for all convention delegates and clergy. The Zoom link can be found in The Mountain diocesan newsletter or by emailing communications@diovermont.org.
Those not serving as delegates are invited to watch via YouTube, and a recording will be available for on-demand viewing.
Register for Convention by October 13
The deadline for diocesan convention registration is October 13.
**All clergy and delegates, and everyone who plans to attend the in-person portion of convention must register.** Registration is not required to watch convention proceedings on YouTube.
The registration fee for all clergy, delegates, and convention attendees is $35.
Lay Delegate and Clergy Registration
Voting lay delegates and clergy should register for convention using this form.
General (Non-Voter) Registration
Members of the diocese who are not voting delegates to diocesan convention should register using this form.

Call for Nominations: Deadline is October 13
The deadline for nominations for diocesan leadership positions to be elected during the 2023 diocesan convention is October 13. 2023. Nominations should be submitted using the online form. Leaders are needed to serve on the following bodies:
- Brookhaven Treatment and Learning Center Trustees
- Commission on Finance
- General Convention Alternate Deputies
- Provincial Synod Deputy
- Rock Point Commons Board of Directors
- Rock Point School Board of Trustees
- Standing Committee
- Trustees of the Diocese

Volunteer to Help with Saturday Breakfast
Use this online form to sign up to help with hospitality during the in-person segment of diocesan convention on Saturday, November 4. Opportunities to help include bringing food, serving as a greeter, and setting up. If you have questions, please email Dispatch of Business member Jenny Knowles.
Resolutions
The deadline for submission of resolutions to the Chair of the Resolutions Committee was September 18, 2023.
Courtesy resolutions will be prepared in advance of Convention and summarized at the business meeting for general approval. Copies of courtesy resolutions will be available on the website and during the business session for delegates to read in full. Except in special cases, they will not be read aloud.
Those wishing to propose courtesy resolutions (e.g., for persons or events meriting special recognition by the entire diocese, special congregational anniversaries, etc.) should, if possible, keep to the deadline for other resolutions, though special circumstances may require exceptions.
