In The Episcopal Church, stewardship is our personal response to God’s generosity in the way we share our resources of time, talent, and money. Stewardship reflects our commitment to making God’s love known through the realities of human life and our use of all that God has given us. It is also our service to God’s world and our care of creation.
Congregation members are encouraged to make annual stewardship commitments that represent their specific Christian commitment to “work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of God” (Book of Common Prayer, 856). Legacy giving is another aspect of stewardship, allowing members to support the long-term mission, ministries, and upkeep of their local congregation, diocese, or the broader church.

TENS: The Episcopal Network for Stewardship
TENS is an association of church leaders who understand, practice, and proclaim God’s call to generosity. All congregations in the Diocese of Vermont are members of TENS and can use the resources provided for members: resource library, pledge/annual commitment tools, webinars, best practices information.
