St. Stephen’s Middlebury Announces Advent/Christmas Concert Series (Updated 11/27)

Please join us this December for our Free Thursday Noonday Advent/Christmas concerts!

Time: 12:15 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Place: St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 3 Main Street, Middlebury, Vermont 05753

Feel free to bring a lunch. Light refreshments will be available.

Dec. 5: George Matthew Jr., organist, playing works of Buxtehude, Demessieux, Karg-Elert, Otto Malling and Fridthjof Anderssen

Dec. 12: The Addison String Quartet, Emily Sunderman, Carol Harden, Joy Pile and Tom Dunne featuring a premiere of a string quartet by a Middlebury’s own Jorge Martin called Lux Aeterna and Mozart String Quartet K421 in D minor.

Dec. 19: Jack DesBois, basso, in a program of solos from Handel’s Messiah and other Christmas works

But wait there’s more!

Mark your calendars!  You are invited to attend the Festival of Santa Lucia, on Sunday, December 15th at 7:00 p.m., at St. Stephen’s.  This festival is directed by Rostan Swenson, and features the youth of St. Stephen’s in the roles of Lucia and her attendants, and the members of the Nordic Chorus of Londonderry, VT.  (Yes, this is a date and time change.)
