The Executive Council comprises lay and clergy leaders from the Standing Committee; the Commission on Finance; the Trustees; the Commission on Mission Vitality; the Advisory Commission on Diocesan Organizations; the Diocesan Treasurer; and other members appointed by the bishop. The bishop is the president of the Executive Council.
The Council undertakes activities on behalf of God’s mission in the diocese and is charged with oversight of the diocesan budget to support the ministry of the diocese. When the diocese is without a bishop diocesan, the Executive Council works with the Standing Committee to exercise the executive powers of the diocese between sessions of convention.
