Dear people of the Diocese of Vermont and beyond:
As you are well aware by now, Vermont has been hit hard by the flooding resulting from Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene. Roads and bridges are destroyed in many parts of the state. Especially hard hit are areas in Southern and Central Vermont. The most significant damage to Episcopal Church property in Vermont is the loss of the Parish House of Gethsemane, Proctorsville and the damage to the foundation of the church itself.
