Having recently completed a successful year in Second Grade at Barstow Elementary School in Chittenden, Vermont, eight-year-old Riley Bates made a visit to Rock Point, site of the administrative offices of The Episcopal Church in Vermont. Arriving with his grandmother for her 9 am meeting, Riley was introduced to the members of the diocesan Ministry Support Team who were in the office – Elizabeth Allison, Diocesan Historiographer; Angie Emerson, Minister of Stewardship Development; Josh Cheney, Administrative Assistant; Linny Curtis, Executive Assistant; Tom Ely, Bishop; Susan Ohlidal, Canon for Ministry Development. He then settled in at Nana’s desk for the morning with various activities to occupy his time, with an occasional trip outside for some time on his scooter.
