Kairos Earth is undertaking a pilgrimage – a journey to sacred places with an open heart and mind, with the intention of learning, seeking, growing, and gaining insight from both the places themselves and the people who inhabit them. This pilgrimage is a six-week bike ride across large swaths of the country, undertaken by Kairos employee Chelsea Scudder, and guided by the following questions: What is sacred about this place? What does it mean to treat this place as sacred?
It felt important to reconnect with the sites of last year’s pilgrimage, so Chelsea’s route (which started June 1st) comes through Woodstock to Mission Farm, and thence to Burlington. Along the way, Chelsea will be talking with people about their connections to the Earth and what it means to consider – and treat – the land as sacred. You can follow the pilgrimage on her pilgrimage blog.
